The letter back totally ignored everything I said (Ring any bells lol), and it was a Final Notice. It says that unless I either contact them within 10 days they will commence collection activity, which may lead to either them or the client sending round a doorstep collector or taking court action. It also says payment due before 3rd March.

So-do I just send them a copy of the original letter saying 'Refer to my previous correspondence', or do I take action myself by making a complaint to the ombudsman, or whichever one it is!

Will wait to hear from you before I do anything!

Send this new Niddy Special, see how that goes down (it covers this scenario perfectly):---> Threat of Legal Action & Refusal of Doorstep Visit

Anyway-thanks once again and will keep everyone updated as to what happens

Stop worrying I've got the email

I want to start using the upload section, open office still ends with .doc though, so should work!! I'll look into it.

    I'll reply to email later.

Sorry again for that Niddy! I've just tried to upload my letter for you to see, but it would'nt allow it as it's an Open Office File! I even tried to open it with other programmes but it was having none of it. I know I sent it accidently the first time using the email your cca button. Any chance you could give it the once over from there when you get 5 minutes?

Sorry to be such a pain in the backside!!!

    Hi there Niddy!

I hope I've sent my draft letter using the correct section on here! I've used the 'email cca' button, so hopefully that was the right one!

    Hiya Niddy

Just to let you know that I've had a look at National Debtline & I've drafted out a letter to this Westcot Credit Services, but I have'nt sent it yet, as I will wait to hear back from you first! From what I have found, am I right in thinking that they should'nt be trying to muscle in on this as, I was never informed by Ace or Moorcroft that they were going to involve Westcot also, therefore breaching OFT guidelines again, and also because as far as I'm concerned this is now in serious dispute with Moorcroft as they have not responded appropriately to my repeated requests to accept the offer of £60, payable over 6 months-in other words totally ignoring me!

Thanks once again and will wait to hear from you!

Re: Help! What to do now?

    Hey Niddy!

Well-guess it's not totally over with this Ace catalogue fiasco. I don't know if you remeber but I made an offer of £60, payable over 6 months to Moorcroft and then I just kept sending them the same letter over and over again, & refused to get into anymore discussions with them over it. They then went very quiet.

I've now had a letter froom Wescot Credit Services on behalf of Ace, demanding the full £256.70!!!! So I don't know what to do now! I really do not want to have to start all over again with this lot but will if I have to.

Should I tell them that as far as I'm concerned I am dealing with Moorcroft regarding this dispute and to basically clear off and keep their beaks out of it, or should I send them the offer of payment letter for £60?

    All the best to you!
