If it were me I would just ignore for now see what they do next ....just looking back you have not payed any thing on this since 2009.........

If you want to pay something then why not try an offer of £200 or £250 that a family member has said they will give you (3rd party paying) and see what they come back with? they may accept, you never know! Otherwise you could offer to pay perhaps £300 at £xx a month until its cleared?

Morally speaking after receiving the last and latest letter regarding my debt I do believe that the sum of £338'ish is approx what I owe.

I know that my credit file has been marked with a "D" and was wandering if I could make an offer to pay in installments of say £10 a month or maybe a little more?

If my offer is not accepted and they want me to pay £40 a month....one that is too much to afford and two I don;t believe that is the correct amount.

Any sugggestions from anyone please? as I have approx 3 more years for this to drop of my file....and even if I pay a little each month I could at least clear one of the three defaults on my file?

Yes I do MM and have received another letter from Hampton Legal...file away I suppose.

I notice Red Collections have an advertisement for Experian's subscription service at the bottom of that letter. DCAs think up all sorts of ways to make extra money out of other people's misfortune

Well as a dear friend of mine would say...if it has gone to a DCA and they are offering a discount there must be something fishy about it.

But take no notice of me, I do not know my own name today
