today i have received a letter from credit management consultants ltd,they have given me 14 days to make contact or they will send a licensed field agent who will attempt to call at my property.

Licensed? Licensed to do what? Go fishing?

Because thats about the extent of what a 'licensed field agent is able to do. A 'field agent' has no more rights to arrive at your property than any other stranger off the street. The use of the word 'licensed' is being used to imply that they are more important than they are, or have some sort of authority (which they don't).

In the highly unlikely event that someone does show up (and I do mean highly unlikely) tell them to sling their hook and if they refuse to leave call the police.

If you really want to rattle a field agent, take their photo with your mobile phone as evidence that they were sent despite your letter stating that you did not want to make an appointment and evidence of their intimidation.

Today i have rececived a letter from midas credit services who are part of the moorcroft group,usual letter warning me of possible action ie;contacting me by letter or phone,sending a local representative to call or refering me to their litigation department,do i reply with anything or do i sit and wait for their next move?

This is my MBNA credit card which is i am trying to spin this one out until early next year when i will be in a position to offer a f&f,any advice will be much appreciated.

I have received a letter today giving me 7 days to contact them about repayment of the debt,if I do not contact them it may result in solicitors being instructed to consider issuing a county court claim form against me.Should a judgement be awarded this may lead to a baiiff's warrent,an attachment of earnings or a charging order.Is there anything more I can do as this debt is enforceable or is it now time to arrange to try and repay the debt?

Letter received from mercers informing me that barclaycard are intending to sell on the debt,they have also defaulted this debt.

Good morning,
Today I have received a letter from credit management consultants offering me a 50% reduction in my balance if I agree to commit to a monthly instalment plan of £50 per month,they say once I have paid of the balance with the £50 payments they will write off the remainder of the balance and mark my file "satisfied in full".
The other day I did a credit check with experian and on the MBNA file it said"satisfied",not late or defaulted which it has been,what does this mean?Can they change this?Any advise please.

this morning I found a card on my doormat from moorcroft saying they have tried to speak to me in person,now I am afraid they will come back again,any advice? twins2.

I think it's unlikely that they'll come back again.

If they do, just do what I did when they called and tell them to do one then firmly shut the door in their face. I fully expected him to knock on the door again but he just meekly went away. Or you can do what another Mod does and give them a royal wave from the window.

Remember, they have no legal right to come into your home.

Twins - it would be a lot easier for us to help you if you set your diary out like mine

When you say you found a card on your doormat was it hand delivered or delivered by postie?

If it was just a card was it in an envelope or was all details on the card for anyone in the household to read it? If so exactly what did it say (taking out personal info).

Depending on how they have done this you could have them by the short and curlies

Thanks pixie, I need to get my self together had a shit week,fell over yesterday,fainted and badly bruised my legs,the car died on me and needs £500 of repairs and now this I feel sick!
