Ok, I contacted GE Capital and they cannot help me, they do not have an address or contact number for Sterling Direct Loans

I contacted the Financial Services Compensation Scheme and filled an online enquiry form, will see if I get some information from them.

            So back to square one

              Good luck

If this fails then do contact the FOS, hope all will be resolved soon, fingers crossed.

                Re: Fribourg's PPI Claim

There's a useful site called Companies House.

If you write down the company your looking for in Company search, then a list of them come up.

I did find some details on here.
                http://wck2.companieshouse.gov.uk/a7...d6/compdetails

                Name & Registered Office:
                STERLING DIRECT LIMITED
                19-20 BOURNE COURT
                SOUTHEND ROAD
                WOODFORD GREEN
                ESSEX
                UNITED KINGDOM
                IG8 8HD
                Company No. 06116235

                Status: Dissolved 05/10/2010
                Date of Incorporation: 19/02/2007

                Country of Origin: United Kingdom

Whether or not they are the same ones I do not know, because some have similar names, so if you have any details of the company number on your paperwork of Sterling then check it against this.

                  Cheers for that Dizzy Di,

No other information to compare with the one above, hmm, I guess the way to go is with the FOS, I need to think on what to say in the cover letter, considering that the company is dissolved, is going to be really difficult to get a good result on this one, I don't think that Pinnacle would pay a penny back in this situation now.

                    Re: Fribourg's PPI Claim

Gosh this is getting complicated, the Financial Services Compensation Scheme replied to my email and I have to fill a questionnaire, in which I have to put the company name addres etc, the broker should be Sterling Direct Loans but they do not appear on the FSA register, so I'm stuck now, even Sterling Direct Limited does not appear on the FSA register either,

                    Any ideas anyone??

                      Hiya

One of mine was dealt with by the FSCS and that is normal/standard procedure to complete the claim form with details of the company.
However, they may not show them listed yet.

I would carry on with completing the form.
And enclose any copies of paperwork you may have.

                      Good luck.

Oh by the way, mine was successful through the FSCS and the company even though they were not listed when i put in a claim, it taken some time before the company called twopart/eloan were declared in default, and were listed afterwards, but you still continue to make your claim.

                            Update

I received a letter fron FSCS, see link

                            http://i1237.photobucket.com/albums/..._reply_aaf.jpg

Seems there is not much that can be done so far, unless there is another alternative.

No idea on what to do next, looks like this would be a lost case.

                              Hi honey

I was caught in a trap like this one.

So contact the FOS now, even though the FOS will not be able to investigate against these, they will possibly suggest you find out who the insurer/underwriter is, who they will be able to look into this.
One of mine are with the FOS via the insurer.

Basically write to the lender, ask them to send you the policy booklet details, or to at least let you know who the insurer was, then you pursue them, if they reject your case the FOS will be able to take it on.
                              The insurer/underwriter are all regulated.

Contact the FOS and please let me know what they say, cheers and good luck. x
