It would be insanity on their behalf to pay a significant sum of money to take you to court

Sorry to hi-jack this thread, but this is with good reason a worry, or certainly something in the back of most AAD members mind.
Does anyone know ball park figures creditors would be looking at to take someone to court for a debt such as this?

Impact has texted today, seems vanquish has now involved them, how the hell do they get your mobile number? I am now about to fill out the income & outgoing forms, Elsa do you want me to post it here?

If you can still get online for any of the accounts you could always change your number to this one on their records: Free Number to Issue Creditors - allaboutFORUMS

I reckon it will be a case of relaxing now until they fulfill the CCA requests. They can't enforce until they do so it should go quiet for a while.
Once we have those back we can better judge the best way forward.

I'll check back later to see if the I&E has come through Jilly, have to nip out for a while

This clearly can't continue. Sweetheart, I honestly wouldn't pay them another penny.

If you want to try for getting them written off, you will need to complete the income and expenses sheet I mentioned earlier, here> North East Derbyshire Citizens Advice Bureau and let me have a copy of the result so I can check it over for you. As it's obviously very private information don't post it on the thread, I'll private message you where to send it and only I and possibly Niddy (the forum administrator) will see it.

I may also need to ask for a bit more info on your health issues in private too in order to write the letter for you (I'm a retired nurse so I understand the terminology).

Let me know if that's what you want to do. There's no guarantees and it may take some time, but it's worth a try, and if all else fails you'd probably both qualify for a Debt Relief Order anyway.

Can't get blood out of a stone that very much holds true with you. Spend the money on something more useful like making your life more manageable which is what disability benefits really is for.

you shouldn't be paying all of that out of your benefits, seriously what exactly can they do?

take you to court? you'll get £1 payment set
nothing else they can do, they going to put a charging order on the council flat? eh NO

listen to Elsa and let us try to sort out a write off but definitely stop paying now, £59 to those numpties at vanquish? they should be ashamed

if you get letters from Apex just ignore them, we stopped our DMP 3 years ago and stopped paying, the eejits at Apex send us a letter every 6 months asking us to increase the DMP payment, which ceased 3 years ago, so I wouldn't worry too much about that mob

Ok many thanks to all of you for all your comments which I have read through after hospital today. I have numerous letters from gp and hospital consultants as I have a condition which effects all of my organs. We have no house( live in a council flat) no car( drive a mobilty car) and as from the beginning of this year we have had to use all our savings for bills etc. Together we owe probably getting on for 10 thousand. My partner has a morgan stanley passed to Apex and pays £20 a month now on a agreed payment, still gets bothered every 3 months to increase it. also a lloyds tsb at £20 again. my capital one knows of my condition or so they should we have told them enough, also vanquish I am paying at £59 a month agreed payment now one month behind.

Absolutely insane. For God's sake stop giving your blood to these leeches.
