e legal aid bill for terror suspect Abu Qatada stands at more than £500,000 and is still rising, the Government has disclosed.

As of December 5, the Legal Services Commission (LSC) had paid out £515,778 to Abu Qatada in legal aid. Final bills have not been received.

60 days time Purchase & Cash Interest rates going up from:-

say:- Now Cash Interest = 3.443% New:- 4.50% (54.0% per annum)

Now Purchase Interest = 2.839% New:- 3.99% (47.9% per annum)

MoJ must slash £2.5bn from its budget - 'In the UK we both reduce the scope of legal aid and abolish laws designed to protect the citizen - whilst at the same time criticising many governments for being undemocratic and having a poor human rights record. But what is a democracy without access to justice?'
