    Re: Link Financial

I have a stack of letters going back to October 2010, I've ignored each and every one of them, with the support of the guys here when I got a bit nervous about their threats etc.

Until they send me something of substance I'll carry on ignoring them.

              No asm,

We've had a couple of frosts and invertebrates like DCAs have to seek the cover of a wet stone when the salt goes down.

Seriously don't worry, most of them are not intelligent enough to "plot" they have to follow a script printed in large letters in words of one syllable on a computer screen.

If they've gone quiet then let them stew. Never proactively go after them.

              regards

                Hi ASM

Plotting? You are giving them far too much credit (excuse the pun).

You have to remember the primary reason why DCA's are in existence which is to make their owners/shareholders money. Unfortunately the way they frequently do this is to bully/threaten/harrass people into paying, rather than working with people to come to a reasonable solution.

But this means that when it comes to your account they will likely be making a simple business decision which comes down to if pursuing a debt is profitable or not.

If it isn't then chances are you will be put into a 'to be left alone' pile while they pursue more profitable accounts.

You may be sent the odd template letter from time to time (as this is how they keep their costs to a minimum) in the hope to get a response, but if they are challenged then their costs go up and so your account becomes less profitable.

As its getting towards the end of the financial year its likely they will put your account into a portfolio of debt, which they will flog to another DCA, and so the merry go round starts again........
"I fear all we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant and fill him with a terrible resolve."

The consumer is that sleeping giant.!!

                  Yes, it is.

The only plotting they're capable of is found in dot-to-dot books...

Hi Don't visit the forums as often as i should......but well link and financial arent two words that should go together!

They have threatened me repeatedly - well i have zillions of letters from some nice lady who keeps telling me she cant let it go on? I am off to the naughty step soon to be lashed by a false copy of a credit agreement.

Got the repeated phone calls from Dave/George/Geoff/Dave mark 2/Dave mark 3/Tom and so on - all the same bloke who swears blind we know each other and he would love my details to check that out. Last call was placed next to the car stereo playing radio 4 and he was on hold for ten minutes. Perhaps it was a moneybox investigation? Anyways they have given up on that lark.

For some reason they send me statements of account - duhhh i dont remember opening an account with them?

Yep they are a bunch of idiots and I just ignore thenm - SB soon (that will get them guessing as no doubt they read all of this)..

Hiya I actually recieved a letter the other day saying this is the final notification that any agreement you had with link to repay your debt has been cancelled for non payment. without further reference to you we will immediately commence recovery for the full sum by the following options. you will be held liable for any costs incurred. your data will be passed to our internal investigation asset dept, your account will be approved for recovery by way of judgement/decree in your local court...the debt will be transferred to a dca who may call at your home bahhhhh

They have promised me numerous visits but George has never been for a cup of tea as yet - so i will have to put up with their final notification letters. Don't have a problem with these as it keeps my posty in a job and helps the recycling effort - Link obviously isnt aware how much they are helping the employment economy! They are still pillocks though
