Yes, £50 to piss off and drop my complaint, which the FOS ripped apart anyway! If we ALL give the DCAs a hard time this way they could be ground down somewhat :-)

Morning all.

Well, I want to cheer y'awl up and let you know I got a £50 cheque in the post yesterday from CrapQuest. Yep, aint much compensation, but it is something and its their money, lol.

I got it from nothing really. I originally complained to the FOS about them not sending me a CCA request (they told me to go direct to Egg). BUT somewhere along the line in the ping-pong letter writing contest I sneaked in a conplaint about them and requested that their consumer credit licence officer contact me. Which of course s/he never did. So expanded this to FOS.

Now FOS disagreed with everything I said and 100% took Cappy's side. But they offerd me £25 to gp away. I rejected this and sent off a few of HL Legal's threat-o-grams's to prove that CapQuesdt and their agents were sending legal-looking letters to me when they didn't actually own the debt (not sold by Egg). FOS disagreed with me and stuck up for Cappy but I was offered £50 to go away.

I took the £50 and will apply it to my weekend fund :-)

You saw their website they’ve got absolutely no scruples’, they’ll pursue any debt by hook or by crook… :bad

This time starting off that it will be sent to their legal dept. and then the tone changed with them trying to be nice and applying my own personal account manager who can seriously reduce the balance for me if i contact them by the date stated. Unfortunately the date stated was the 6th January lol. Shame as i may well have taken them up on that offer ...... NOT !

Got a bank giro credit cheque book today but still no card. Ho hum, maybe tomorrow

Yeah thats good news pal, Crapquest is Nolans clients and you've got loads of adverse info regarding their Dept collection practices "3 Steps and force payment with days"...... :bad :bad

Received pin number today - just need to get the feckin debit card now so i can check my credit report and put this to rest. Had another since from HL Legal or something. Same spiel, same threats, same response

Well done matey! You'll also notice that they may well report the account conduct to the CRA's - plus after a few months of usage you can reapply to upgrade to full bank account

Cheers Niddy - first time i've applied for anyting and been successful since about 2003 !!!

Hopefully get the card in a few days and then its experian and equifax for me

Well, got approved for the key account today as i checked my online banking. Just need to wait on them sending out the debit card then can check my credit report online and find out 100% if Crapquest can f**** off !!!
