ps the letter will be a print out of application that needs signing. They ALWAYS send it. Even if accepted, they still send the form to sign matey.

Hiya. It's fine. Just wait for their letter and then take it to branch with ID to get it sorted.

It's cos u applied when instant decision is down. To get instant accep u apply before 6pm.

Don't worry, it's a basic account - only restriction is no bankrupts.

p.s I'm self employed which i gather makes getting applications approved for all sorts. Only been SE since August last year.

Well, once i have got my new loans, credit cards, mortgages or whatever else i apply for. Then its beers on me until the cash runs out...........before i go into hiding for another 6 years !

If for any reason it gets declined I'll appeal for you. Done it plenty for lots of people!! I have a thread on mse called how to appeal a declined decision. People use it and get declines overturned lol. It's not that relevant here just yet though.

Ok don't worry yea? They will give u the account. Don't do a full bank account yet cos they will say no due to decree. We'll get u back on full banking after the decree is wiped! Plus beers will be on u when they do it haha!!

Do it google rbs key account and apply online and you get it agreed lol. Simples.

Its actually just called an Instant Access Savings Account with a cashcard for withdrawals. Most basic of basic accounts !!! LOL

I never bothered with anything more since because i never actually needed it. Well, sometimes it would have been handy having debit card but i always worked round it. I just haven't applied as my credit file was shot (all clear in January, totally clean bar the Decree you are helping me with for Nobrains Solicitors.)

Do these banks do credit check etc for these accounts ?

You should be instantly approved. Ring and ask for a debit card. It's not a "full" card but almost as good. It works everywhere except tesco pay at pump, on a train or plane cos it MUST be able to get authorised as you can't go overdrawn you see?

I'd ring em and ask. As existing customer you get approved anyway. Is it a Cashcard or key account u have? If cashcard apply for the key account which comes with visa debit card mate.

No mate i took out a basic RBOS account which only gives me a cashcard about 6 odd years ago when i was going through all my troubles. At the time i was told by CCCS to get one of these accounts. Are those accounts you mentioned easy to get ?

Do u not have a basic account with debit card, coop, barclays, Coventry, natwest ......
