Sorry I should have been clearer I was asking whether in principle a creditor could combine a debtor's accounts for court proceedings because I have 3 x Barclaycard, 3 x MBNA and 3 x M&S and so the fear has always been in the back of my mind

      It should be fine

Could be the format you are trying to upload in. For the secure section i always use PDF and never have a problem but have had problems with jpeg due to size and also word 2010 (i think) i.e. Docx

            Re: Cabot/ Quantum Debt Recovery

I sent a letter to both Cabot & Quantum, no courtesy of a reply, just the same letter and enclosure from Cabot. Is it worth starting Cabot"s complaint procedure, assuming that they don"t reply? Or simply wait to see what happens when no payment is received at the end of the month?

These people run to their own timetables and seem to interpret letters in any way they see fit. Unless it is time critical i would not worry. I know when i started this journey i wanted it all sorted out yesterday but now i am 1/12th of the way to statute barred although in my case bankruptcy is the medium term plan

                  Re: Cabot/ Quantum Debt Recovery

I have received a letter from Quantum, not a reply and no mention of my correspondence at all.

They want me to phone them, as they are disappointed to see that the balance is outstanding.

If I do not contact them, they will pass my account to Wright Hassall, who will assess the potential for further enforcement action being taken to recover this debt and further costs and fees.

It is frustrating that they do not appear to wish to enter a dialogue about this account, simply pay up or else would appear to be the attitude!

                    Re: Cabot/ Quantum Debt Recovery

I have a vague recollection of a Cabot court case that was lost by them due to incorrect t&c's, does anyone recognise this or did I dream it?

Maybe because your letter went to one department called pile of unopened post and the letter you got came from the department of trained monkeys. Although i disagree with FP. Saying they are trained is being way too nice.

                              Don't know what happened there!
It's the Paterson v Cabot case that I am interested in, if you google it, the BBC link should come up.
