So the banks themselves should be shown the door from their own premises then ?

      Hi

Just read through the thread and wanted to add a couple of points. I have supported both my younger brother and sister through breakups and divorce, it's a very, very messy business .....

I see from the first post 'they' still had a joint bank account, not sure what will have happened to this due to her BR. Maybe your BF should contact the bank ASAP and get statements for the last couple of years. It may be overdrawn, he may possibly have a debt there as well ?

Did he remove himself from all the utilities and inform council tax ? - it appears that he did not inform the mortgage company that he moved out. My brother got lumbered with all the debts from his ex because all the utilities, inc sky, were still in joint names. Six months later he found none of the bills had been paid, the money he was giving for them had been 'spent'. He was legally liable but it did give him 'ammunition' in the subsequent divorce settlement.

I don't mean to alarm you but if theses were either still in his, or in joint names, I would get them all checked out, just to be sure.

Good luck , and get him to a divorce specialist as soon as possible.

It is a very messy business, I agree.... and despite one partner (usually) wanting/trying to keep things amicable, it rarely ends up that way.

I saw no need to be amicable but I did try to be civilized during that period of mourning after a marriage split. In this case it's been more than three years since the seperation so it's probably time for BF to take away the ex-wife's toys

couldnt agree more, I have been stung really really badly by my own ex I let the sod keep the rangerover which i paid for and he kept his motorbike paid for by me also. I also let him leave the joint owned home and i picked up the bills for everything so the time for being "amicable or nice" has now past! oh and he never gave any money for his child either.

So far I have been very calm in the whole situation with my current BF and his ex but no more...............................seems to me the nicer you are the harder you get stung so as they say in scotland

              bring it on lol

Been there..... done that. What these blokes don't realise is that cars need maintenance and children grow up and make decisions....

My ex has lost his daughter; she wrote him off last year at the age of 21 after he let her down for the very last time. He now also has no working vehicle to drive around in, his current partner has mental health issues due to drug taking, he has mental health issues due to drug taking and he is in excess of £100K in debt.

Karma is a wonderful thing..... you just have to wait a long time to see it sometimes.

                • Hello ladies. Do you know why I decided to buy leather lingerie in the xxxxxxxxxxx online store? The appearance of this nice accessory resembles a classic bra that goes into a corset. Due to its unusual shape, this type of lingerie looks very seductive. It perfectly supports the chest and fits the figure, emphasizing all my advantages. This is the main reason. And even more so this is something new, not like everything else.
