    Re: Barclays Problem

That's very good advice Niddy. Thanks.

Makes you wonder why Experian's literature only points to the FOS as an option really. Anyway, still noothing from them but I've diarised the 8 weeks and have a recorded delivery proof of postage which I kn ow the ICO always ask for.

Just wanted to say good luck with this Blod
When Gold isn't enough, there is SA Gold! New to the forum and find the UE route a bit scary? Take a look at my diary here and judge for yourself. I am now saving the money each month that was making little difference to the balance and not a bit of difference to my credit file as a result of finding AAD.

Because the FOS regulate CRA's - the ICO regulate data protection, two different things mate

          Re: Barclays Problem

So FOS to complain about CRA and ICO to get data removed. Ok. I'm not an expert at this. I just might complain to the FOS about 2 things then; the CRA and about unfair data once I finish with the ICO complaint about the data.

            Re: Barclays Problem

Hi folks. I just got this email from experian:

"Thank you for your emails, which we received on X May 2013. I am also in receipt of your letter dated X May 2013.

"Further to my previous email I can confirm that I have removed the Barclays Masterloan account from your credit report. To keep your data secure we do not send any emails that contain personal data from your credit report.

"If you would like a letter showing the change that has been made, please e-mail by return and we will be happy to send this to you.

"The Barclays Masterloan account information was provided to us under a different account number which is why the previous suppression did not take effect, with the information appearing on your credit report again.

"I have been in contact with Barclays Masterloan regarding this matter. They have advised that the this is currently with their Credit Reference Agency Management Team, who are taking steps to help ensure that this does not happen again. There have been some recent changes to the way that Barclays Masterloan report data to us which they suspect is the reason why the account has started to be re-reported unexpectedly under the different account number.

"In closing, I do hope that the information I have provided has explained the position and the action I have taken is acceptable to you. I am keen to make sure I have resolved your complaint fairly so if you feel I have misunderstood your complaint or have any further details you think I should know please do not hesitate to come back to me directly either by e-mail at"

                    Re: Barclays Problem

I got my letter from Experian today saying that the masterloan account has been manually removed from my credit files. That's in black and white, on good old fashioned ink and Expoerian letter headed paper. I'm going to frame it LOL.

I suspect it will come in handy in a few months' timke when the account reappears on my CRFs yet again.

It won't be! LOL, the whole roitten CRA system is a joke. The reason why they behave this way is because the beggars that run this country also own the banks. I'm needing to get this stuff off my chest today!!

If they CRA's block it then it'll go for good mate - seems this is what they have done.
