Ok, Ok, Plain English - Asda = supermarket / TV = Electronics so let me ask, would you go to Comet and ask for bread and milk?

Maybe I am just getting too old but I find going to the right "specialist" shops is always worth the extra few pounds.

I use works - even better

I bought a ham joint from tesco the other day that was more expensive than their basic printer - somehow I also think the 4 days pleasure I got from my joint was longer than the owners of these printers

Q - if Tesco sold houses, cars, holidays - would you be so keen to buy one from them?

Re: ASDA hahahaha if only they were right

My response to the extended warranty sale garbage is:-

"What do you not understand about the mono syllabic word NO!"

If they persist I tell them as the goods were designed for a life of only one year the sale of extended warranty is fraud and they are committing a criminal offence and if they want to look up the law then they are to check a famous case in the High Court which of course is Arkell v Pressdram. They normally go away when the law is mentioned and I have no idea whether they ever check what they have been told.

We recently wanted to check up on washing machines wanting to look at Hot and Cold fill which of course they don't do now. We had the shop expert come out and tell us a load of garbage and I politely asked her for a piece of paper and a pen, when she returned I informed her in front of a crowd to justify her statements by demonstrating the applied thermodynamics calculations to me mathematically. They are contained in an elementary book by Rayner Joel and another by Metcalfe.

Reply:-- "Well thats what the manager told us to tell awkward customers about cold fill washing machines"

            l

Am I nasty to disenchanted burger flippers recruited from maccie d's?

            regards

I have a Co-op card that gives points which are then once a year transferred into money vouchers plus because my wife works there I also get 10% discount on everything I buy except tobacco and newspapers.

This discount is also on co-op offers and bogof deals so can amount to a good discount.
