    Re: LloydsTSB

Well i did write in and ask them to consider a F&F but the reply i got was the above letter. I'm considering going to my local branch speaking to the branch manager to see if they can find some lee-way to a more plausable offer that i accept as well as they do.

Received a Signature Request from Lloyds yesterday.

Seems a little too convenient for my liking.

well they'll receive a nice letter stating that i dont have to comply with their request.

thou they did give the option to collect from branch with relevent ID

      Ha

There is no signature required for a CCA request, but there is an argument that for a SAR there is. To adhere to the Data Protection Act, they need to ensure that the information they are providing is going to the correct person. Their argument is that a signature is required - your reply would probably be that they are sending confidential information such as statements and bank cards to you at that address and to that name, so there should not be any question as to whether you are the correct person or not. Otherwise they are already in breach of the DPA.

I would take up their offer of going to a branch to pick up the information though. It's probably the easiest way to get this sorted. Just make sure that they don't take a copy of the paper you sign and make sure you take back your signature and destroy the paper it's on.

Niddy has a letter to respond with if they are asking for a signature.

            Update
Had SAR bak and looks like no signed docs at all. Even states this in an internal email. Will upload pics etc later on when at home.

I don't see what question you're asking here....... bank accounts are CCA exempt so you cannot use any UE rules on that, assuming this is a bank account (how have you got a blanace of £2k if it was taken out when you were 13 - i.e. you cannot obtain credit at 13)...?

                      Please give us more specifics......
