                Re: Back with the living.

                14 days after the surgery.

still smoking even though i have spent £50 on electric cigarettes and pre filled attachments. had a couple mini angina attacks and no aftercare what so ever , not even a hello how are you doing phonecall.

energy level is on 0 mpg. it raises to 1.0mpg after i have had a cuppa tea then drops off to 0 again. expected energy levels to be more after the op and more active. but to be honest i am scared of going out to far from home.

still have cold hands and feet from the betablockers, asked chemist and was told in simple but technical terms " live with it ". feel stuck between a rock and a hard place bordering depressed.

oh well one day at a time for now, maybe things will get better in the long run. i really do hope so.

Stopping smoking will be hard and the more so depending how long you smoked for, you will have to keep convincing yourself that it is for medical reasons you have to stop, I was a heavy smoker before I had the haemorrhagic stroke but I was lucky in that the amount of time I was in induced coma it weaned me off.

I get cold hands and feet and my weakside is the worsted thick socks and gloves are a must this time of year.

Did the consultant give you contact details when you where discharged from hospital they did me and I would give them a call if you have any concerns even if only to put your mind at rest.

                  Regards

                    Re: Back with the living.

no i was rushed out, the ward i was on contracted novovirus, the evening i stayed in, and by 5am in morning i had doctor telling me i was being released. i got a paper with discharge info but never given a phone number to call incase.

25 years smoking tobacco, and 20 years smoking mary jane. i tended to smoke the other mixed in tobacco and now i do not smoke it i have upped my tobacco intake to counter not smoking the maryjane. trying to kill two birds with one stone is hard.

the e-cig gave me funny twinges after a days smoking it, asked chemist about it and he could not offer any advice, just the usual stop smoking. spent hours online researching electric cigs and have had to join a forum to gleen advice from other e-cig smokers.

In case you get a discharge from somewhere you'd rather didn't?

Have you tried eating the weed, or making it into a tea?

The pharmacist will be no help whatever.

What sort of "funny twinges" do you experience and where?

Do you also have foot ulcers?

I suppose you've seen what it was like last year.

given up the weed now, just the ciggys are a pain.

twinges are centre chest, i had right coronary stent fitted only 14 days ago, maybe its just body getting used to whats happened and the stent being there.

usualy become out of breath/ heavy chest feeling and a sharp punching type feeling. am taking pills that also inhibit adrenalin and keeps my heart in check.

going to give it a couple more days, then pop and see the doc see what he says. but am trying to keep well away from another stay in hospital.

                              Hi everyone

well life is a lot different now, finally hit me i have CHD (coronary heart disease).
taken a long time but am now coming to terms with it. been eating alot more healthy to. still one main meal but am snacking here and there.

been around 7 months since the op, have had minor angina attacks nothing major (touch wood, taps head). went to see the heart doc in the hospital where i was told everything was fixed, that was until i took advice of others and mentioned i was getting funny pains.
Now am back into hospital mid october, they think the opp did not do what was needed and the stent has become blocked. so need to have some nuke stress tests.

debt wise, rockwell have been good. no phone calls and have been sending a tenner a fortnight to them since i had the heart attack. sadly i cannot say that for DLC, they phoned today, and well i put the phone down, still waiting for the CCA request from last july of them lol.
