  • Victim of online fraud

Hi, I got some help from Citizen Advise Scam helpline and trying to sort this out. Its quite hard and stressful time for me. I edited this post to hide details offline for the time being.

    Hi Johnbruce

I can certainly understand your being stressed.

The answers to your questions are:

    1. Yes - send documentary evidence to support what you are saying including the Police Scotland incident report reference if possible with it.
    2. It shouldn't but it likely will if Halifax do a CIFAS report
    3. Yes they can
    4. You need to check your credit file and send a GDPR request to Halifax. I am tagging @neverindoubt in to this thread as he will be able to help on the CIFAS issue

Never-In-Doubt Thanks God. With the help of Niddy, I sorted out this issue and bank agrees to restore my account. This was new to me and not possible without help and support of Niddy. Thank you very much.
