Thousands of people are being evacuated from their homes as a severe storm batters large parts of the UK.

I had the call to prepare for evacuation should we need to be, I just phoned my parents told them to get their medication some milk water food upstairs and some extra blankets and to charge their mobile phone , they had the call too in fact they have had 3 calls today
