  • Re: MattyA UE Diary

    Hi
Hope all are well and fighting the good fight.
just thought I would drop by with a quick update......nothing much to report.
still getting chased by the DCA 's for a couple of old accounts.......but , they are still awaiting for the original lenders to provide the information that I have requested....CCA agreement.
    yes that old chestnut.
other than the occasional letter to update me with their progress ........nothing , and I hope it stays that way as the clock is ticking until the end (SB) date.
Hopefully I have not just tempted fate and the floodgates open again......likewise , as I have been away for a while , I hope the rules haven't changed?

Note to Pixie......not sure if you remember be we started out on pretty much the same day.....not long to go!

          Good luck Matty.
I think we're on similar timescales. It's very odd thinking it's nearly 6 years. Keeping everything crossed for us all

Thanks everyone for your comments.......how does this SB thing work? Do we just have too wait and keep checking credit file ? I don't really want to prod any sleeping lions and stir up a hornets nest again.
My last payments to all accounts was June 2016.
is it this that counts or the default notice date?
              Matt
ps ...can't believe it is 6 years since I started this journey.....thank you to everyone who has helped me along the way , in particular THE BOSS....cheers!

I have never checked my file ever, it flags you up to folk.SB is say if you last paid in June the first missed payment is the next month ,when you didn't pay. They can still chase but cannot enforce. Some say SB is from the DN , think the jurys out.

don't go digging about in your credit file Matty might as well raise a flag. Ours went SB last August and I still haven't looked.

well done, we've got lots of good news popping up all summer, it has been 6 years and yes you did get here. Just keep your head down and hope they realsie that they are all SB too. When are your defaults set to drop off?

I really hope the last payment was NOT June 2016 Either way I agree with the others, personally I would not look at the credit report until at least 6 months after the defaults should drop off so nobody gets woken up. If they do open an eye and think of sending something threatening then give them an oversized noot up the backside

Update....Received a couple of brown envelopes in the post this week.
Off we go again I thought , so didn't bother opening them for a couple of days.
When I did , my thoughts were confirmed ....dca re my Barclaycard accounts.
Turned out to be very good news....they can't find the info I have requested & have written off my debt which is in excess of £20K with this lender.
They are SB anyway , but I will be keeping very good care of these letters.
