    Well well well....... got a letter I wasn't expecting.

    My Cahoot account and debt is to be WIPED OUT COMPLETELY, without me having to lift a finger. Yep, they have given me notice that my account is being closed and my balance reduced to zero. They have informed me I do not have to pay a single penny of the money owed (close to 7k) and the account is settled. Thank god I never reached out to them to make an offer to settle this account eh? (see posts above as have recently thought about this).

    What a result!

        Aye, its a bit nuts really.......all I ever did on this card was stop paying and issue a CCA request, that was about 4 years ago and they've done jack all since then, not even defaulted me or sold the debt on to someone who might chase it. If only all accounts were that easy eh?!

            I'm the forum administrator and I look after the theme & features, our volunteers & users and also look after any complaints or Data Protection queries that pass through the forum or main website.                     All good thanks..... I can confirm this 7k credit card debt is now showing as settled in full on my credit reports
