Mmm not sure - I haven't got any HSBC debt. My money's on (no pun intended) NatWest cos I told Try-it-on to go forth and multiply, so to speak. 2

Well mystery solved,Equidebt are now DCA for CoOperative.

I CCAd the CoOp back in the summer and never heard a word from them (the card is over 20 years old so that didn't surprise me). Letter to Equidebt on its way....

              Will do!

These DCA letters used to scare the hell out of me. Now I just respond as necessary and file them away. Thanks Nid!

                Re: MustGetStraight's UE Diary

Quick question (probably a silly one at that!).

One of my Enforceables is M&S, dealt with by Rockwells. They're actually pretty easy to deal with and I've been making a monthly payment.

They are asking me to increase this as OH now has a job, so I'm looking to raise the monthly instalment (not much - want to go for F&F so if the payments remain low a F&F looks more attractive for them). They said next month I need to do an I&E . I presume that there is no obligation on me to provide I&E information even for an enforceable account?

                Cheers!

There is no need you're right but you ought to do one; to ensure you're being fair and it allows them to con you too,!!!

I'd not fill it in if you're thinking of f&f......

Cheers Nid. ;Hi1 I won't be in a position to do a f and f (unless they are prepared to accept something ridiculous) until probably February, so if I can keep them accepting monthly payments til then that will be great. I'll see what I can do for next month.

                        Re: MustGetStraight's UE Diary

Phone call from "TCS" yesterday, I just said I wasn't in. Don't know what it is about them, their operatives all sound really rough! Another "telephone harassment" letter going off today to remind them.

Also another letter from Hillesden advising me that MBNA are still trying to find the stuff in regards to my CCA request (from July). How considerate of them to keep me in the picture! I was getting so worried that they couldn't find it ;-)

I was expecting a flurry of letters from DCAs trying it on after the OFT stuff... they are a bit slow off the mark, aren't they!! ;LOL

Ahh but the OFT stuff helps us, the consumer, more than the lender so it'd be quite silly of them to start quoting stuff cos we'll rebuff it in their faces! To be frank, they will be a few weeks behind.....

Agreed - but then they don't seem over-bright, do they, on the whole! ;Hmm

I was expecting them to just try it on because if they quote stuff like "OFT announcement" and section this, section that, and try to make out that things have changed, they will surely scare some people who aren't "Niddified"!

We're all Niddified here.... 2 2 2 looked it up in the dictionary...

Niddify [size=5](v) "to impart vital knowlededge to individuals so that they understand that banks, credit card companies and the like care absolutely naff-all about the customers, even when they have been loyal customers for years and years, and just when you really need them to freeze interest, accept reduced payments etc, will decide to hike up your interest rates and demand payments they know you can't afford. A Niddified individual will have taken action against said banks and credit card companies to fight back."
