Don't worry too much about the Mercers threat. They are a pain on the phone but they are only the first line of in house thuggery for Barclaycard. They are owned by them. Their default notices are usually defective anyway, I have never seen a compliant one and they are issued unlawfully as Mercers is registered as a dormant company at Companies House and are not allowed to do anything commercially related ( see CH's own guidelines on dormant companies). When their normal nonsense starts let us know and we can tell you how to deal with it.
Oh and by the way don't worry the defective DN will be a big red one! However do not throw the envelope awy if it happens mark the dN with the date you received it and staple the envelope to it also marked up.
