It's their standard reply. It's not personalised to you. Honestly, don't feel flattered

As stated, nothing has changed IMO from my last update above on 12 May.

                Re: CAPITAL ONE CREDIT CARD

Type of account: Halifax Current Account Overdraft
                Date commenced:- April 2010
                Approx balance:- £620
Date of last Full payment :- May 2013
Current Arrangement:- Self- Managed D.M.P- approx £15 p.m.
Status:- Default but D.M.P up to date
Account owner:- No chasing letters- only contact since 2013 has been 6 monthly letter from RobWay to review arrangements- I have ignored these and just continued making original agreed D.M.P. payments.

This current account was defaulted in June 2013 and passed to RobWay to manage my monthly DMP payments.

I would like to make a F & F offer and I would appreciate some advice on what amount I should offer RobWay

                    Re: CAPITAL ONE CREDIT CARD

                    Hi Pixie

Many thanks for pointing me to the calculation and F & F template section of the Site .

In fact I had already looked through the information therein but it seemed not to be totally relevant in my case as it explains making proportionate F & F offers to all creditors whereas I only want to make an individual offer to the creditor to whom I owe least (as I can probably find some cash for a reasonable F & F for that small debt) while leaving things as they are with the other creditors.

Such an action, however, is probably a breach of my self managed DMP but it does now occur to me that I may already have breached my DMP by virtue of my CAP1 actions (posts #12 and #13) and this makes me wonder whether I should " take the bull by the horns" and take similar action to that detailed in the aforementioned posts in respect of my 3 other creditors ( all 3 of which remain with the OC but two of which have been defaulted).

These are post 2007 so UE is probably not an option but a CCA in each case is a good starting point I guess so I intend to send these off in a day or so.

There does seem to be a view that this is the way to go with the chance of a reasonable F & F with a DCA in each case at the end of the day but pending my "lighting the blue touch paper" any advice or comments would be appreciated

                      Re: CAPITAL ONE CREDIT CARD

It's entirely up to you if you want to take the risk with the other debts being post 2007 but you have a much better chance of a F&F offer being accepted if the account has been passed to a DCA and the best way of getting the OCs to pass them on is to stop paying.

                        Hi Pixie - and everybody
Apologies for delay in responding but I have decided to take the risk and accordingly have now ceased payments to all my debtors, and the other actions I have taken are detailed against each creditor’s entry’
As I am now dealing with 5 debtors rather than the 1 original debtor (Cap1 Credit Card) I think it may be best if I start a proper diary hence have opened a new thread (but linked to the new one).
                        I hope this is ok!!
