If I was lucky and found somewhere the same or not too much more than I am paying now it wouldn't be so much of an issue, I can reduce energy consumption and petrol a little by other means.

Hi, just a little info on I&E filling.
Always make sure you have enough to have a life, never go without to try and pay back unsecured debts, you will not be thanked for it.
If a debt is in your name only thay should not take any partners income into consideration.

stepchange is funded by the companys that want you to pay them back ASAP, so they will try and get the most from you.

payment is not, " what will they accept"?. it is what can I afford, AFTER, taking all bills, and cost of living into account.
you do not live off beans on toast for 3 years, you can have a Steak, or meatless version if that is your go to.

        The fact that

stepchange is funded by the companys that want you to pay them back
came as a genuine surprise to me when Di commented on my diary:

DMPs set up by charities are a way of outsourcing their debt collection activities in a seemingly respectable way.
I find that puts anything they have to say in context.
A very sobering thought at the time which put things into perspective for me and made me feel less bad when I pulled the plug after using them to get alleged creditors off my back .

Precisely the point. Also monthly expenditure needs to include building a contingency fund to meet unexpected expenses, such as a boiler breakdown etc.

Exactly - with a debt management plan you work out how much you need to live on, and your creditors get what's left over. My

Unsecured Consumer Debts are a VERY low priority. Your living Costs come first and these Debts to be paid from any available (if any) surplus!
We are all faced with a massive increase in Fuel Prices and an estimated 7-8% increase in living Costs!
In my opinion right now anybody on a debt management plan should immediately reduce payments if not halve them citing the above!
If they start squirming report them to the Regulator and your MP! Charity begins at Home!

Niddy say my Capital One CCA is unenforceable. I have received documents from Intrum which I have forwarded for checking. The CCA looks valid as its fairly re sent from ratesetter, but I believe that Intrum may have some issues looking at other posts?

Everything is not being paid at present as I have had to stop my DMP, with the cost of everything its not sustainable to pay what I was paying. It will take a few months to know what is affordable.

Nationwide are still faffing around and I have heard nothing from HSBC and Lowell yet.
