Sadly it's not uncommon for a claim to be issued/served on an address which the debt owner knows has been vacated. It can be deliberate. We'll see.

I would think for a claim of this value they should have checked.

            Hi all,

Thank you all & Joanna Connolly Solicitors for the great help and advice.

Without even knowing the 6years mark, had past on 6 debts I had defaulted on which have all come off my credit file. Truly happy I went with the waiting game and sat on my hands lol, having the majority of my debts cleared of to the statute barred way is a big relief.

Currently have two CCJ's which I'm sure, Joanna Connolly Solicitors will help me with.

I will continue to update my diary as I go along, once again thank you.

I opened my mail over the weekend, noticed a CCJ claims letter issued 06 Jan 2026 I guess to 14 days response time is overdue is there anything I can do or is it too late?

Is the CCJ claim letter from the lender or the court? If it is from the court you need to take action asap to prevent getting a CCJ. I would recommend getting advice from Joanna Connelly solicitors. If it is from the lender / debt collector I have been advised to ignore until I actually get something from the court.
