    Re: Twinkie UE diary

Thanks, will do. Would it be worth referencing my other debt? I have all the communication saved from that, and it is in my name

      Re: Twinkie UE diary

Unless anyone else disagrees with me I can't see the need to reference the other debt. Keep it simple. Offer the £1 and explain (briefly) your financial harship situation and wait for them to write back.

But it is comforting to know that they've already accepted that amount on another debt so you ought to expect them to accept it for this one

Let's get shot of these annoying people so we can move on to trying to get rid of some more of your tormentors

All I managed was cancelling the DD online as I did not have that amount of money.

Something else has just occurred to me. When you cancelled your DD were you still in a contract with this mobile phone account? If so then T-Mob may have added all the monthly tariff charges which would have been due until the end of your contract. You can sometimes get those cancelled off the account if you have good reason (e.g. the phone had gone missing) to terminate it early.

But don't worry about that now just get Bryan Carter off your back and we'll look into trying to get the bill reduced for you at a later date

          Re: Twinkie UE diary

Bryan Carter only agreed to the £1 after a LOT of messing around, court papers etc, that's what I meant about pushing me over the edge, last time was a nightmare. Once he agreed to it, then said I would hear further. I was sent a form to fill in with my bank details which I sent back. Two months later nothing was set up. I wrote to them three times asking why the DD had NOT been set up (at the cost of recorded delivery each time.)

I was ignored. I then rang them (by this time 4 months had passed.) I was told not to worry by them as it will be sorted - TWICE - on two separate calls. Six months down the line still nothing. Then almost a YEAR later I get court papers served for failing to keep to the agreed payment :

I rang them and gave them a piece of my mind. They completely denied getting any letters or phone calls, eventually admitting to one phone call.....

They arranged payment that day, and told me to ignore the court date. I contacted the court who told me to write in. So I did, I told them everything. The court wrote back and said not to worry now a payment arrangment is in place, and they would be keeping a copy of my letter incase any future litigation arose. The court was actually very sympathetic to me on the phone.

I was out of contract I think... Need to check!

I did send three letters recorded delivery first

            Which they denied receiving.....

Thank you Flowerpower. I am tapping a letter as we speak. Just one more question, do I send the letter to Bryan Carter or Frederickson, or both, since letters arrived within 6 days of one another?

I feel a "Dear Bryan" letter coming on

He was recently exposed by the Mail on Sunday for his firm's bad practice. I'll post up the link tomorrow.

                        Hi Twinkie,

Not here to give any suggestions. Just to say it's great to see your name popping up again. I've just looked back at your first post - what a difference in you. That is honestly magnificent - I hope the way you come across in writing reflects as big an improvement in how you're actually feeling.

It's really heartening seeing this - thanks for cheering me up at the end of a bit of a gruesome afternoon and evening.
