Sorry Mr M is still struggling, it's been a long haul hasn't it, for you both?
Sending hugs, you know where I am if you need anything

    Good Morning Elsa

Your just a little angel. Always thinking of other people.

Will not aend letter just now will wait until I hear from them.

Unfortunately Mr M not good doesn't seem to be getting any pain relief which is causing the depression to intensify. Waiting to see new Phyciatrist on Thurday.

It's a fine line between pain and depression, each makes the other worse. What painkillers is he on? Is he already on antidepressants too? And how are YOU? xxx

          Hi Elsa

Yes...doctors have said exactly what you have said about being a fine line between Pain and Depression each one intensifies the other.

He has been on one hell of a concoction of pain killers and anti depressants over the years.

          Just now on :
Oxycodine/Oxycodone, Bachlofen, Gabapentin (for Pain). To help cope with back/spinal pain (Had 3 different surgeries performed none successful)

          Diazepam (To help him sleep).

Mirtazapine (for depression which over the past 3 years this has increased his weight no end, been trying to get him off it for months now before it causes him to have a heart attack due to the excessive weight gain. They say they are at the end of the line with anti depressants as over the years he has had so many - many that does not agree with him.

Few other medications for stomach and bowel trouble which is all down to all the different medication he has had over over the years. It has slowed his bowel/colon down so as soon as he eats something it gets stuck near gallbladder area causing him extreme pain in kidney and side area. Also having poor Mobility doesn't help his bowels.

Dear me, bless him, sounds as if your poor hubby needs a complete meds review as the side effects could be conflicting and causing some of the symptoms. Sometimes different specialists look after their own side of things without taking a holistic view, sad to say.
The painkillers are codeine based which will cause constipation. Maybe with backup bloating under his ribs causing pain? Is he on something like lactulose to counteract the constipation? Has he been checked for gallstones? Gabapentin can also cause stomach pain. Sounds as if the Mirtazipine isn't right for him. Lets hope the psychiatrist can suggest something better, or at least less inclined to increase appetite and weight in view of his mobility problems.
How supportive is your GP Miss M? Maybe he could be the one to step back and look at the whole picture?
It must be so difficult for you too coping with all this.

              Good Morning Elsa

You never said a truer word each specialist are only concerned about the ailment they specialise in they don't seem to care if any nedication has an adverse effect in other areas.

They took Gallbladder out 18 months ago but no difference he goes beteewn constpation and diarrhea constanly which cause him horrendous pain. This pain combined with the back.spinal pain is unbearable for him. Spends most of his time lying down,

GP exceptionally supportive but it seems to be the hospital consultants that are the problem. Gp is at her wits end and due to complications in several areas she has several words with consultants at hospital, but they just don't care.

He went in for a Sleep test about 6 months ago, however they couldn't follow it through due to the level of pain he was having that night so phoned me to come and get him at Midnight (remebering he had only been there since 9pm) we received a report from them last week to say he had sone sleep problems but not sure what (how could they come to this diagnosis when they only had him in bed for approx 1.5 hours, total waste of time and money.

ANyway enough of my ranting getting ready to go see psychiatrist at 10am (thats if he will go, as this morning is not a good one for him).

                  Hi Elsa

Well. eventually we persuaded Mr M to go see Psychiatrist yesterday, but to be honest bit of a waste of time. Didn't tell us anything we didn't already know and basically said will incerase antidepressant keep taking medication see you in July.

Back to the drawing board it seems.

Hopefully to see motility specialist soon. Been waiting for months for new appointment as last appointment we had she was over 2 hours late so eventually we left and went home and seemingly she was angry we left after waiting 2 hours,(Mr M by this time was in total agony having to sit all this time) when nurse told us she would be approx another 30mins. She was then refusing to see Mr M again until our GP told her exactly what she thought.

                        Hi cymruambyth

Thank you so much as said before the people on this forum give people like us the support to keep going..totally priceless you all are.
You are so right the so called professionals don't realise or understand the impact illness has on peoples lives...

Sometime I wonder how some of the Doctors/Consultants got into their jobs. Sometimes commmon knowledge works a lot better than some of their advice.

Oh! Oh! postman just been.. Received a letter from an old old debt from capital 1. Never really bothered about this one as never hassled us for long time. (Never got round to adding it to our diary.

                          Here goes.....

Received a letter from Capital 1 for Mr M today demanding we pay them £392. Original debt was approx £1,400 but got charges refunded in Sept 2009.

This is for an old debt which we paid to Bryan Carter and Fredrickson when we were on CAG forum.(When we hadn't a clue!!!)

We have not paid anything to this debt since May 2009, however when we were on CAG we were advised to apply for our charges which we did, eventually got them through FOS in September 2009.

Now the question is would this be SB (Scotland) in May 2014 (since last payment May 2009) or because we applied for charges in Sept 2009 would that have restarted SB clock.

We did receive a copy of the CCA which was a really a small application box thingy that you receive in the post asking if you wanted a card with his signature and date (can send to Niddy if needed).

Really not too worried about this lot - got more things on my mind just now....but would like to know when we could consider it SB.

As always any help, pointers greatly appreciated.

i think it wont be SB until September because SB is 5 years after you acknowledged the debt and by accepting the refund you were acknowledging it.
