    Re: Weebell's UE Diary

Indeed, keep it very safe along with the envelope that it came in.

Just wait for their next communication then post again.

How about the other accounts, any response?

          Thank's IF.

He'll be on later today and will probably explain, it's fair to say that things have taken a toll on us both over the last few months.

That said - Thank's to everyone involved with this site, you are all so helpful, don't know what we would have done without your help.

                  Re: Weebell's UE Diary

Hi All, long time no post, hope everyone who remembers me is well?

Received a letter today from Fidelite -(Cabot Financial (Europe) Ltd telling me to contact them within 7 days or else I can expect a doorstep visit. Quite intimidating..

                  Last payment was February 2012.
Last correspondence was August 2012, copy of letter below stating unenforceable at this time. Letter was from Apex, still have a copy.

                  Does anyone have any advice?

Thanks in advance for the help.

                  Weebell

CCA sent by recorded delivery 03/03/2012

                  Dear Weebell,

We write further to your recent letter, in which you requested all documentation under the Consumer Credit Act (the act) with regards to your above noted account.

In relation to the afore mentioned account, we can confirm that unfortunately at present we are unable to obtain suitable copies of the required documentation from the original creditor in order to comply with your request. In light of this, we will be removing your account from our normal collection activity.

Although at this time your agreement is unenforcible, we must advise you that the debt still remains, the balance is due ans suitable collection activity may continue despite the unenforceability. We therefore recommend that payments are made in order to reduce your outstanding liability. You should also be advised that at any time we may produce a reconstituted copy of your Agreement, which would restore the enforceability of the Agreement.

Please also find enclosed a cheque for £1 refunding the fee paid for this service.

                  Is this a victory????

                  Thanks as always.[/QUOTE]

Hi nanna58, thanks for your reply - you may have received a PM from me as I couldn't post - then realised I had to validate my email address as changed it..Sorry

I'm not sure what to do in terms of delaying tactics. I'm in Scotland so Statute barred I think is 5 years not 6 as in England. Last payment I made was February 2012 - so guess i'm 10 months away?

Not looking forward to a doorstep visit...

                      Thanks again

                            Re: Weebell's UE Diary

they very often don't turn up, we had over 30 debts and only ever had two attempts to remove our doorstep, told one to piss off and set the dog on the other, no one ever came back. and I'm in Scotland too.

I wouldn't answer the door to anyone I don't know and if you do by mistake don't talk to them, just shut the door again, they have no power, shouldn't even be on your doorstep without and invitation and if you tell them to go, they need to go. Just don't answer any questions but they probably won't turn up

Thank's MrsD, shame you didn't get a video of the dog in action!

So, I'm thinking that maybe I should just ignore the letter I received from them? Anyone have any thoughts?

                              Thanks in advance.
