    Re: mr affable's UE diary

    Hi

Finally received a copy agreement form etc from MINT (taken over a year!). I have scanned and emailed copy to Niddy for his opinion.

Have also received letter from Blair Oliver And Scott on behalf of Halifax asking for my income & expenditure as my previous agreed repayment (£1 pm) is due for renewal. Presume they dont yet realise i have stopped paying so should i just ignore this at the moment?

If it was so long ago, I would just wait and see what they send.

Let us know when you receive anything from them.

How long is it since you received the ccas from them?

Paying £1 or not has no bearing on whether or not they can take you to court. If there is an alleged debt, they can sue you for it. What it does have bearing on is the limitation clock, continually resetting it to six years.

If you want to follow a UE strategy, you need to stop paying. The alternative is to try for a F&F settlement. That can get it over more quickly, but only if you are able to negotiate, and obviously only if you pay more money. I'd definitely give UE a try if it was me, especially if you don't own your own property.

OK then I would send the CCA request to Freds, with a postal order and send recorded so that you can track when it's signed for.

with the others it's up to you but I would definitely be blagging

    Thanks Mrs D

I didnt send the one liner cos I realised that all MINT had done before was return my request and postal order saying my letter hadnt been signed (I signed it electronically)then when I sent the letter suggested by others here pointing out they didnt need my signature they returned it again saying i hadnt enclosed the payment - so i gave up!

As regards the 2 creditors that I still pay £1 to I had thought that if i didnt keep paying they would take me to court but judging from the others they probably wont do anything either so maybe now is the time to stop paying?

Nobody else seems to have taken any action even though they have threatened that they may do this or may do that!
some of us have been blagging enforceable debts for quite some time........but it is up to you, if you keep paying £1 it's always going to be there
