    Bryan Carters are acting under instructions from Fredrickson International it seems. Im not sure the acc has been sold at this stage.

    Their letter appears a poor attempt at a letter of claim, so maybe a retort is needed to tell them to go away and read the CPR on letters of claim.
    If i had time to draft something up i would but im snowed under as it is

          I received above letter from Barclaycard. And I've checked through all my creditors. The account reference doesn't exist.

          Please kindly give some further advice how to deal with this method.

            If it were me I would ignore both of them.

            Account numbers/reference numbers are often changed when accounts are passed to dcas. I'd wait and see what AIC send.

                  you could ask the creditor to clarify why the account numbers do not align with your records, it wouldnt need a template for that, but it would provide a paper trail of evidence etc

                  just a thought

                      Hi LM,
                      I have had a good read through your thread and see that you are having quite a bit of good luck fighting the DCA's
                      I have an idea that could throw a little bit more money your way, I see that you are paying quite a bit in water rates, have you thought of getting a water meter fitted?

                      I know you might thing it wont save you much but it will, we used to be paying £46 a month at a previous property and had one fitted and it cut it down to around £21 a month. We have since moved and have got one fitted where we are now and are only paying £17.23 after it was again £46.

                      Another idea could have been, use PDSA but you're not in receipt of Housing Benefit or Council Tax are you?
                      I used to be afraid of the post... Now I look forward to it - so I can stick it to the DCA's

                            Just received the same letter myself from Bryan Carter, funny enough, the fredrickson letter previous to that, is exactly the same as mine, even down to the date they mention you received the CCA, is this the actual date it was sent? sounds like a generic letter.
