allegedly they shouldn't be sold, but creditors are not generally known for being too meticulous with these things..................

Sorry to be a pain but should i send template letter account sold while in dispute or template letter confirming no cca or doesnt it matter

I had a few letters off Lowell saying account on hold while they look into it.
I had one this morning saying they have had to gather information from HBOS and that its taking longer than they thought.
As its been 8 weeks since my complaint i have the right to refer it to the ombudsman but they will try and give me a full response within the next two weeks.
Bit worried now that they might be lashing a recon together.

Agreed. Wait until they reply because anything or nothing could turn up. If it helps in the meantime then just imagine them having an almighty row with each other about why the debt has sold on when it is unenforceable and then passing it backwards and forwards between them themselves because neither of them want it anymore.

I wouldn't bother with the Ombudsman.... if they want to send a recon, then let them. Should be an interesting read after all this time....

I did have a recon from HBOS a good while ago for the Halifax card befor lowells bought it but wrote back and said basicly thats nothing like the original . They then sent a letter saying they couldnt find the original. Sold it on then to lowells.

Letter from Lowell's this morning even tho they were assigned the debt they don't want to know they are returning it to HBOS. Will post letter up later.

Here we go. I would have thought if the original lender cant get it back why would Lowells want it to start with?
If the original creditor can enforce why would they sell them on?

As this was sold to Lowells why would HBOS take it back and if they do what will happen from here
