    In our (AAD) experience things tend to hot up in the year prior to a debt going SB. Keep an eye on letters which give you a deadline to reply or else legal proceedings will be commenced without further notice. Ignoring letters is not always a good thing.

      About 3 / 4 years ago sent copy letter from original creditor saying they had no cca or recon. Since then after saying account on hold they have added 3k to the balance .
      The last letter If i dont make contact soon they will send account to a specialist collection partner.
      Every time they phone i block the number then they ring on a different one.
      Get the odd txt as well.
      Had letter off marbles saying no cca. 2010
      Account taken over by one of the Halifax group or RBS about 2010 told them no cca they confirmed no recon.

                        It's six years this coming March : )
                        Cap quest keep adding to the balance every month think it's up to about 14k now .

                            Three months and counting cap quest still got it it's over 17 k now .
                            Not such a good 2016 for them I hope !

                              6 years have elapsed since the last payment and acknowledging this debt so games over i think
                              Is it worth trying to get the PPI back on this or will that be acknowledging the debt and start the 6 year clock ticking again

                                If I'd escaped a £17k debt I'd consider myself lucky.
