    Re: Terrified of Ruthbridge

Well Mr Amissah got his letter. Someone called "Beverly" signed for it. I wonder if shes only using her first name in case I scan it and cook up my own "agreement" lol !!!

      Re: Terrified of Ruthbridge

      TWO letters today !!

One addressed "Dear Sir/Madam" , offered me a generous discount if I contact Ruthbridge immediately and then went on to threaten making me bankrupt if I didnt.

The other, on dead posh paper dated a day EARLIER than the other one and with a sort of nice Spirogragh design down the bottom arrived, as I say on the same day by first class post with "first class" written on it twice.

Standards of courtesy have slipped at Ruthbridge because the letter starts "Dear D......"; no title, just my surname, I was was "Sir/Madam" in the first one but perhaps it was typed in a hurry. I dont know.

Anyway this, posh letter from a Mr Amit Rao told me how Ruthbridge had gone into a huddle with their "client" who had requested that the matter be passed back to them, "in order for them to deal with the matters you have raised directly".

It goes on to tell me that its all been closed down on their systems and returned to Experto Credite (who I have never heard of BTW) and that they dont want to talk to me anymore and don`t want to send me any more letters.

Does this mean that they`ve gone off me ???

Yep well done, they've passed it back to the other DCA Experto who, for the record, aint experts at all - far from it

So many thanks everyone !! Given that Experto sold it on to Ruthbridge (I assume), will Ruthbridge now be asking Experto for their money back ??

Nah it'll be partially assigned, ie they just asked the other to collect / scare you for them - for a fee if they actually collect. If they do not collect then no fee is due.

I may start a DCA business with the sole intention of taking all the debtor accounts for a major bank and then accepting £1 offers from everyone in F&F - so what if I go bust - in some way it's rough justice served cold at the banks

Not as out of the way as it sounds, LOL..you wouldn't have to go bust, you could specialise in low F&F's ( ), buy the debt for pennies in the pound, take a low F&F based on purchase price plus a small profit...voilá... everyone's happy!
