    What would blagging it do for me? And what sort of settlement amount do you reckon they would offer me?

      Nah - blag it and see what happens, I told you what to send in last post. Just leave it, let me know if they reply and i'll advise how to respond. Do not settle this, just play along with blagging it for now...

            Barclaycard Update.
            It seems the debt has been pasted on to another DCA called Calder Financial. I got this a while ago but I have been busy recently. Anyway I have attached the letter for your viewing pleasure gh

              I know Niddy will be along, but in the meantime, Calders are all part of the same lot: Barclaycard/Mercers. Just another Barclaycard alter ego really!

                  They have passed the debt onto Roxburghe Debt Collectors it seems.
                  Letter attached for some more viewing pleasure. lol

                          UPDATE:

                          Barclaycard: No Response

                          Nationwide:

                          Received a letter from Roxburghe on 13th Jan telling me they are prepared to accept a full and final settlement and the offer is valid for only 7 days. The letter was dated 6th Jan. LOL

                          So I received another letter from Roxburghe stating I have 72 hours notice to take action on the matter or this may involve legal proceedings etc. This letter was dated 19 Jan and I received it on the 22th Jan. LOL
                          Letters are attached.

                          Nationwide also responded to the last letter I sent them in response to the agreement they sent me.
                          They sent me the same photocopied application form with the same terms as their last response.
                          I have attached a copy of the covering letter. Do you want me to email you the agreement Niddy?

                              The clue is in the wording. You have 72 hours or action MAY include legal proceedings. Well, for a start debt collection by its nature is legal proceedings, and if they were referring to court you would know it was serious!
