what about trying to find a local solicitor to represent you? That would make all of this easier for you.

Also, as I have learned... Having a local solicitor does not necessarily make it easier for me. I can't even get the local one I was using to reply to my emails! And they really have to be up to speed with this type of consumer credit law otherwise they can be detrimental to the cause.

email from the court clerk telling me my options hearing is now scheduled to take place in under two weeks time. I will not be in the country on this particular date due to work commitments.

Also, it appears that the solicitor I used did not lodge a motion to have the hearing location changed - not that it would have made much of a difference, because I wont even be in the country for it anyways.

Again due to the short timescale I have and the fact I won't be there, the only way I can see around this is to get this solicitor to represent me at this hearing... Move it past the options hearing stage and also lodge a motion to change location. Then i can pick this up afterwards in new location.

What is the date of your hearing?

Email me if you need help finding a solicitor for this case even if only to chat through your options (literally) with them. You seem to have got a Defence from what I've seen so far.

If I've understood your last post correctly you will be using your current not-that-good solicitor to attend the Options hearing for you, then looking to swap to someone more able afterwards.
