    Re: Transformer999-V-Vanquis

No I have not...........maybe I should do that........poor guys must be wasting a fortune on phone calls and they could and should be using that money and deduct it from my debt. I know it will cost me an arm and a leg but I have to send out this letter and will raid my piggy bank to see if I have enough pennies to buy a first class stamp. If I find any extra pennies I think I will splash out and send it recorded delivery.

    Thanks in 2 deep

Ignore and let them waste their money! Alternatively give them a mobile number instead to phone that will cost more.

You could, perhaps, confuse those numpties by asking if their client, "Lowell Portfolio 1 Limited" - WDNE, has a valid and current Consumer Credit Licence. You may get a reply to the effect that they hold Consumer Credit Licence 528607, but they'd be wrong.

If one looks up the details for that licence, one finds that it is held by Lowell Financial Ltd., company registration no. 4558936, and that it has the following trading names:
        • Hamptons
        • Hamptons Legal
        • iDebt Financial Solutions
        • Look4Ward Finance
        • Lowell Group
        • Red Debt Collection Services

Nowhere in that licence is there any mention of "Lowell Portfolio 1 Limited" which does not even exist; so efficient are BCW that they cannot even correctly quote the name of their client, Lowell Portfolio I Limited, Co. No. 04857418.

Lowell Portfolio I Limited does have a current Consumer Credit Licence, no. 0544015, but they weren't stated to be the clients of BCW, were they?

              Re: Transformer999-V-Vanquis

I keep getting letters and emails from Lowells for my Vanquis debt...such a little problem that could have been sorted out if they accepted my repeated offers of lower payments for a while and deducted all the massive interest & charges they wacked on...I have not been replying as I have so much else going on at the moment...and this is not a priority. There is no doubt that the DN Vanquis issued is faulty....but this is just another headache that I will sooner or later have to deal with.

Lowell Reference Number: xxxxx (Please quote on all communications)
              Original Account Number: xxxxxxxxxxxxx

              Original Company: Vanquis
              Account Balance: £689.25

              Dear Mrs T999,

We wrote to you recently regarding your debt that has been sold to Lowell Portfolio I Ltd by Vanquis. As you are aware, Lowell Portfolio I Ltd has asked us to collect the debt on their behalf.

Make us an offer! (well I did so many times in the past so why did you not accept then?)

We want to help, we are willing to listen to any arrangement offer you can realistically afford to help repay the outstanding balance. The repayment can be weekly or monthly, whichever suits you best. When your balance is cleared, we will update the credit reference agencies to reflect this on your credit file. (now you tell me....so why not do this at the beginning when I was begging for you to do a deal?)

When you enter into a repayment arrangement with us, it should give you some comfort knowing you are getting your finances back on track. (bit late for that as my finances are screwed to Fxxx....and as for comfort your going to have to come up with something better than that....especially after what I am going through at the moment) As long as you make your agreed repayments on time, you will not receive further phone calls and letters from us or any third party debt collectors appointed by us and we will not take further action against you to recover the debt.

Please call 0113 308 6008 today to discuss an affordable repayment plan.

If you would prefer to pay online you can set up a Direct Debit in the comfort of your own home without the need to speak to anyone, remember we will accept your offer of monthly payment(ahhhhh, thank you for being so understanding and coporative...(NOT) why the fuck did you not do this from the beginning? Please visit our website www.Lowell.co.uk and set up an affordable repayment plan today or you can follow this link straight to the scure Direct Debit form.

              Yours sincerely,
              Robert Taylor

Look like Lowell have a sale on...but I cannot afford what their bargains are at the moment...plus should have agreed to accept my payments from the beginning....would have nearly been finished by now.....and if they had not added such huge costs & charges

I received this letter yesterday from Lowells threatening to pass my debt on to Red Debt Collections...and they also mention a threat of a statutory demand if I owe more than £750.

The amount they state I owe in this letter is £677.66 where as the last letter I received they said I owed £689.00...so wonder why this has become lower?

Should I reply to this letter of ignore? and it is addressed to my sister's house as I went there last year because I had to leave my home due to OH's behaviour.

Thanks in 2 deep...you know the true amount I owed I believe is approx £300 ish....and I offered to pay them a lesser amount each month.....I made so many requests and each time they said no no no. They added on so many charges...and I had ppi on there too which I told them to cancel and refund all the payments they had deducted...they said no to that to.

I have a DN which is 100% faulty as it does not show their address and did not allow me enough days to remedy. I always corresponded with them..sent my I & E form...told them every step of the way I was suffering difficulty and they never gave a crap.....same as I don't now.

Look at how they are willing to accept any reasonable payment from me now. I am not a debt avioder...and never wanted this to get this far...and I bet they have spent more money on writing these crap letters than the debt itself. Such a joke and waste of time if you ask me...and anyways I have got bigger fish to fry ....this debt compared to everythinge lse going on in my life at the moment is like the prie of a first class stamp

                          Thanks for that

Hey Mrs T I haven't forgotten you! Unfortunately I had to take an emergency days' leave today and the wording I am looking for is on my computer at work and not on my laptop!

I don't think there is any hurry with this mob anyway and I would suggest as has all the other good folks on here, to just ignore them until you are good and ready to deal with them. You have been more than reasonable! Out of interest, did you ever receive any responses to your CCA request and telephone harrassment letters? If Lowlife have as they say been assigned/bought the debt, then they have probably bought themselves another load of lemons and don't have any documentation. Further as I see Niddy has pointed out, your DN is faulty. Maybe they realise this but are still chancing their arm!

You should have also had some kind of response to your complaint - did you.

Last question: did you SAR Vanquis and put in a claim in writing for the charges and PPI? If not, I would as definitely with the PPI they can't wriggle out of it!

I'll be back tomorrow with a little something something for you to throw at these bozos when you are good and ready! Remember, you are in control and not them!

                            Stay cool Mrs T!
