I ve just received this letter from Apex threatening me with a home visit. I sent the letter P1 wrote last Tuesday, so looking at the dates I think they have crossed in the post.

What do you all think, I really don t want someone knocking on my door, thats dispicable. Why cant these people be more reasonable and see me as an individual who has a genuine gripe.

I thought.... wait a bit to see if they do actually respond to my first letter...

Please remember that these people are not bailiffs and have no right of entry. if you feel strong enough to just to tell them to feck off, that's always another option. I've not dealt with Apex myself but once they realise they'll get no joy from you, they'll pass the account back to BH....

Sorry bout that, I v adjusted it ..It still fazes me a bit and was anxious for your opinions . I think I will send that harassment letter but give them a couple of days to reply to the first one....Its good to know that they do not carry any true authority

I received this "we don t want to do business with you anymore" letter..... I presume this is a good sign

Yes indeed. It gets rid of one potential source of harassment, and it lets Black Hearse know that any future equitable assignments are likely to end the same way.

In the end, they either risk court, or the alleged debt will go statute barred.

That's what I thought, they did nt put up much of an argument.. cant thank you enough, and any other DCA letters , I ll deal with in the same way

I will..because I am relaxing veeerrryyy slowly... A lot has been learned on this debt and loan business. I used to think.. you sign you pay..whatever but its not that simple.

I dont accept that anyone on here really gets into debt by choice and doesn't care...and just cos you sign you are wholly responsible. but thank God I found this haven. Wish it had been years earlier. But its saved me over £5k and lots of sleepless nights,and taught me lots.

Hmm spoke too soon... I had a letter today from Hillesden Securities saying they now owned my debt. In the same envelope was a letter from Black Horse saying the same thing that they had sold my debt.... they are getting frugal... using the same envelope!!

So, I don t feel so nervous now, a bit disappointed though that the peace has been disturbed, but hey ho.... I suppose I had better print off the usual letters....

They threaten to start reporting to my credit file... don t think they can as they are chasing charges? the original debt was repossessed...and still questions unanswered... and its such a lovely day outside.....

Go and sit outside and don't worry about silly attempted debt collectors. The alleged "account" remains as firmly in dispute as ever. I shan't suggest any responses, because P1 may have different ideas as to how this should be handled.

Well I thought it strange that it was in the same envelope as the letter of assignment from the BH..The letter came from Bristol yet Hillesden S is in Northamptonshire...Both dated 5th June

The cheap and nasty NoA is just par for the course. Usually, they are forged by the assignee.

Would they do that?

The majority of the ones I've seen are forgeries.
