Re: Fred Bassett v 1st Credit (Lloyds TSB)

I received a letter from 1st Credit enclosing a copy of the agreement. Niddy has looked at the paperwork and tells me this one is enforceable.

What may cloud the issue here is the fact that there was PPI with this, plus a lot of unlawful charges. I've ignored this until now as I'd previously been informed (on another board) that this was UE and as it had dragged on for so long I assumed that was the case.

Also, from the copies of the agreement they have sent, which chops off some of the relevant information, I'm convinced that there is no way they could ever produce the original - I bet it got shredded years ago.

What's the best way for me to proceed now?

      Cheers.

      Fred

Thanks for that. Mine's been going on for over 5 years.

Do you have a link to the relevant template?

            Cheers.

Whoa 5 years I would wait for Niddy or one of the mods as you are only 1 year from SB.
                Best of luck

if I were you Fred, I'd try blagging to see if it will go SB, do you have definite dates of your last payment.

I'll ask Nids to pop around

Last payment was in December 2007. At that time I was in a DMP with CCCS but decided to go it alone. I've not paid a penny since.

Ok, can you please resend me the agreement and whatever else they sent you - terms, cover letter - the lot.

I'll treble check this, as we may find issue with PPI.....

For now do not contact anyone, sit tight.

Errr I might be getting confused lol.

It's this I sent over to Paul to check. It's this that you resent me earlier isn't it?

Ill be in touch or Paul will be, directly. Sit tight.

                            Niddy,

I'm pretty sure that's what I sent first time around. Had a bit of a computer failure some months and lost some stuff but this was backed up. I've got tons more correspondence but this was the salient stuff.

                            Regards.

                            Fred

                                Paul,

I have no idea. I will have to look at the various correspondence. I hadn't see this myself.
