    Re: Removed from files

    Hi all

Have received another letter from Apex and this time they have confirmed that due to the credit card being opened in December 1987 the agreement no longer exists. They then go on to say that I should contact them if I wish to discuss this further.

I assume this is the result we've been looking / hoping for. Do I need to respond or just sit tight ?

    Regards

I definitely will, as I doubt this will be the last I hear from them/other DCA's.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank everyone on this forum who has helped me with is issue. The advice has been invaluable - cheers.

I'm still amazed at the fact some people are dealing with accounts older than i am.
its not like there hasnt been at least 22 years for them to correct things like this.

Flowerpower, purely out of interest, what is the "pre-1985 trap". I'm not affected, just intrigued.

            Cheers.

Thanks for that. As I say, it's not something I'm affected by, but I was intrigued.

As ACCESS & BARCLAYCARD credit Cards no actual CCA1974 issued as it was alledged that if you used the card for the 1st time then you agreed to the T & Cs, as I remember all cards were sent out willy nilly to Bank Customers to that effect, I remember having Natwest Access card sent.

                  Help

Despite getting a letter from Apex that the CCA no longer exists, I've received a really nasty letter from them threatening legal proceeding through the County Court - this is the 'heaviest' threatening letter I've received from anyone.

Whilst i realise that they are not supposed to be able to get a judgement whilst this account is is dispute, I'm concerned that they will try anyway.

Should I respond to this letter or just ignore ?? - any advice welcome

                  Thanks in advance.

                        Re: Removed from files

                        Hi all

After several months 'the debt' has raised it's head again.

Just got a letter from Lloyds TSB saying they have transferred the debt to another DCA, Credit Security Ltd..
In view that they (via the last DCA) confirmed that the CCA no longer exists, should I respond to the Lloyds letter or just wait for inevitable DCA letter to turn up??

That's what I thought - complete waste of my time.

Just had a call from Credit Security at work!!
I was out and they left a message to call back.

I was furious and called them back and told them not to call this number again.

Are they allowed to do this??

They need to be sent the Telephone Harassment letter from here. Legal or not, they are out of order. By the way, as my diary will confirm, Credit Security are as useless as Moorcrap - so they SHOULD go away of thier own accord.
