No, definitely only communicate with them by letter, they can promise anything on the phone & you have no proof of this.

Hi all
Calders sent me a letter acknowleding my original letter for a f&f settlement but wanted me to call and discuss. The only reason I want to settle it is to wipe it off my file I know I don't owe them anything and I am sceptical about calling them. So far I have only sent letters and if I get called I just don't complete the security check. Is there any danger by me speaking to them or should I just continue to go down the letter approach?

Just an update, received a letter from Calders financial who have given me a Final offer apparently and that's if I pay 60% of the remaining balance.

I'm thinking "no thanks" :-)

Sorry for not posting in a while. I offered a f&f and got rejected with my offer. I have just found out that it's now been sold to calders. Do we think this will end up going to court or when's the best time to offer and have it accepted. They know it us unenforceable which is why I'm surprised they didn't accept.

Just leave it and see what calders say when they write to you..... don't stress, nothing suggests it will go to court!

I'd just leave it - forget the FOS, they will not get involved in UE related stuff

Is it worth me raising a complaint with the FOS about the account or just leave it with BC to dig a deeper hole for themselves?

BC sent a recon on the 6th October, lol. So all they done was go from admitting they didn't have an agreement to creating a recon, both those letters do help you because you can prove to a judge that no original exists and therefore how can they prove the terms that were allegedly in existence at that time, when they can't even prove you had an account!

I'd ignore them, after all - it's their final, final, final response already - muppets!
