Not as far as I know.

The reason I was asking was with redress like that unless your accounts were in arrears by an equal amount the the reconstruction balance will have gone into credit at some point.

And if they are following the regulators rulebook then there are two types of interest. One for when the PPI was on your account and one for having your money when you were actually in credit with them.

And the final bit is where HMRC come in. Because you have to pay tax on the last bit of interest. They get that wrong and your tax bill will be wrong.

Do you actually have the money in your hand?

If not I would wait till you got it then ask for their calculations? Seems a plan. And you can enjoy the weekend instead.

the interest is descibed asd just that interest.
Tha account are now closed since December last year, they had gone to a DCA and was paying though a DMP, but are both paid off and accounts well and truly closed!!
Is interest payments differntiated between cc and catlogues, even though they are both monthly payments dependant on balances.

It does get confusing doesnt it. But best we stay on here while Di30 is helping on the other one.

Within those interest payments are they further split down into associated/card interest )or something similar and Stat interest at all or is it all one sum?

Did either of the accounts get paid off? and are closed now?

I sent a SAR request to shop direct, had to pay the £10, but as you can see well worth it!
You could always try ringing them to see if it has ever been on your account.
