    Ok mate , i am thinking i will keep opening any letters , and until one says `coourt action` i wont be communicating anything!

      What is the balance? Have you ever CCA'd them?
      I'm the forum administrator and I look after the theme & features, our volunteers & users and also look after any complaints or Data Protection queries that pass through the forum or main website. I am extremely busy so if you do contact me or need a reply to a forum post then use the email or PM features offered because I do miss things and get tied up for days at a time!

        Well the balance accroding to fcm/rbs debt dept is 1862 gbp and wescot now are asking for 2640 gbp !

        And no , this is from 2001 i think , i never knew anything about this stuff back in those days , and when i met you on mse years back i just had my wifes problems to deal with , this one of mine was lost in my dusty memory banks!

          Hi All

          Just an update if interested , i have my mortgage offer now , and we are currently going through convenycing , i have not cancelled my current payment arrangments , as it stands , in fact the payment went out today

          They are ratcheting it up though , another letter yesterday offering the old classic limited time offer to settle for less.....i should think so its gone up by £800 magically as it is!!

          Anyway , i still have not responded in any way

            Hi All

            Well, one week i got a letter saying “special offer! take control of your life! Pay us back a marginal amount of your balance, offer only valid for a short while!!!”

            Two weeks later, now have been referred to credit solutions, the doorstep collection arm of the DCA

            You know, none of this phases me OTHER than the balance they say i owe is about £800 more than the 2012 balance i received in the post from the previous DCA

              And the next mob are on the case , CSL collections , will be visiting if i dont offer a schedule etc withing 10 days , obviously the wife has been told the score if they turn up when i`m not there

              What is annoying me enough though is i havent failed to pay a monthly payments in YEARS! and that is still going out every month to FCM ! , the only `crime` i have commited is not telling FCM of my new address , i am going to love getting court papers one day (i know i know) and then showing my last statment showing £1860 as the debt and proof of ongoing payments , whilst a different DCA trys to justify the £2600 they say i owe

              w@nkesr!!! (sorry , really irritated)

                Well , my own little update , a letter last week , why havent you responded , were coming round for tea and cake......then one today saying errrr , we can allow this debt to be settled at a lower amount , give us a shout!

                  Have you successfully got the mortgage etc and moved? Are you able now to cca em? If so, do it

                      When Gold isn't enough, there is SA Gold! New to the forum and find the UE route a bit scary? Take a look at my diary here and judge for yourself. I am now saving the money each month that was making little difference to the balance and not a bit of difference to my credit file as a result of finding AAD.
