In response to your query, at this time we can not set up a payment plan on your account. Pounds to Pocket does not offer the ability to freeze an account or interest, as well as we can not change monthly payment amounts. We do apologize for any inconvenience for any financial hardships you are experiencing. At this time in order to better assist you and to prevent the account from going into default, we can offer a one time courtesy adjustment rescheduling your March payment. Payment # 2 can be rescheduled from the 28th of March 2012 to the 28th of February 2013. If this is something of interest to you please respond immediately in order to make the appropriate adjustments.

write back and remind them that the OFT guidelines suggest that lenders work with debtors to reduce arrears and how, if they don't offer repayment plans, they plan on meeting this criteria....

leave it at that, be very vague.... (let them dig a deeper hole)

I think they are being very cheeky , on what grounds can they possible ask form such info ( unless you have some sort of PPI) and dont they know that they GP will charge for it!!!

Hi Furryboo,
I wouldn't send anything until the 31 days are nearly up, then write something on the lines of:

Dear ,
Thankyou for your letter. However the amount I have offered per month IS the maximum I can afford and is not open to negotiation. I appreciate you have protocols to follow but as far as I am aware only a court can order a financial statement. Indeed should you ever put this before a judge I'm confident he would order me to pay far less than I have offered you.
I shall therefore continue to make payments as stated in good faith and trust this clarifies my position and settles the matter.

You would ask for their bank details to make standing order..... that is the ONLY way you are able to repay this, whatever you do NO direct debit and NO debit card payments
