Re: Default Removal Help!
Hiya,
Its frustrating the way the system works, which is why as consumers we have to work the crappy system to our advantage.
Creditors are allowed to register a default on your credit file as long as it is done correctly. If you have the money to clear the balance, it doesn't make a difference to your credit file (see my signature) which will show the default date. I was in a similar boat to you when i found the forum and its frustrating although the very reason most people stop paying when a default is registered.
As hard as it is, you are going to have to sit this one out. You may find companies who claim they can offer you a mortgage, and depending on your exact circumstances - they may well be able to offer you something; although this is not going to be anything near competitive as main stream you will be eligible for when this cr@p on your credit file is wiped.
Sorry its not better news! If its any consolation: i feel your pain!
Cheers
Missy
