Re: Threat to sue a dead man for £36

I notice there seems to be an overwhelming body of opinion that the aforementioned letter should be sent. As I'm not one to let the good people of this forum down, I suppose that means that, very reluctantly of course, I will have to do just that.

First, I will name and shame the rear end wipes responsible for this outrage, and show you the offending document, which would surely breach many OFT Guidelines even if has been addressed to the living –

They are known as Capital Resolve Ltd, and here is the “Final Notice” (shudder) -

      'FinalNotice'HaBloodyHa!.pdf

I have blocked out all personal information, but other than that this is the real document.

And here is the letter which was sent. I tidied it up slightly, improved the grammar and made it easier to read (at least one of the posters on this thread is a teacher, so I had to do that).

I have changed my father's name to “firstname lastname”, and removed the DCA reference number, but apart from that the attached letter is an exact copy of the one which was sent.

That is pure quality! I can see this thread staying open for some time
When Gold isn't enough, there is SA Gold! New to the forum and find the UE route a bit scary? Take a look at my diary here and judge for yourself. I am now saving the money each month that was making little difference to the balance and not a bit of difference to my credit file as a result of finding AAD.

Judging by Niddy v. Crapquest, I think they'll probably go into the local church and try to report my Dad to the Holy Fobbing Off Service!

Great letter, but I would almost guarantee that it wont be read and in a couple of weeks you will get another demand.

Lets face it , how often do DCA ever read what we send them at first an actually do a considered reply!!!

You're probably right, but another demand would suit me fine.

If I can prove that they are harassing a deceased individual after they have already been made aware of his passing, that will just make them appear even more reprehensible and stupid.

It is just a case of how bad they want to make themselves look before I report their sorry arse to the OFT.

quick way to end it would be to send a copy of the death cert, but if you wanna have a little fun and maybe get some compo then keep it going lol

And why should have to prove anything. It will be easy enough for them to check, which they should have done anyway
