They were £99 when I looked... CH itself charged £20 just for the registration in 2008 but yes, it's very easy to buy an off-the-shelf company.

The more the merrier. The council will go with whomever is named on the tenancy agreement. Nowadays it's a housing allowance based on postcode and the claimant's age (under 25s get less for some odd reason), and not the actual rent so there could still be a shortfall if the rent is too high, so do your research thoroughly before putting in the claim.

it gets better by the minute, this is a four bedroomed house with two full bathrooms so thre could be four on the tennancy with the main name being one of his mates

I once saw an eviction warrant in the name of Mickey Mouse and Pluto (2nd Defendant) because those were the names the squatters gave to the police who came to the house. Neverthless the court order didn't materialise and the trespassing cat and dog remained in situ

The best way to avoid that delay is for his Landlord on the tenancy agreement to be *Spent2Much Ltd* or similar which avoids any obvious family connection That's legal too. If you haven't got a spare company for property management then set one up online for £4.99 through a formations company Of course if a company is getting rent then you aren't getting it are you? That company may pay you a pittance of a wage/fee.

Probably best not to put too much on an open forum though

You don't have to tell Kensington you're renting it out. Set up Royal Mail re-direct and they won't know a thing

You can still get HB even if you've got a property rented out because HB is means tested, so if your tenant's rent simply covers your mortgage and you don't make a profit then you have 0 income from it. You can also get HB as self-employed based on your income "forecast". Always good to provide a bad forecast

You'll still get WTC as self-employed based on a prediction too.
