A Ministry of Justice impact assessment into an increase in court fees has been condemned as "not fit for purpose" and has been given a rare "red rating" by the Regulatory Policy Committee. The increased fees are expected to raise a extra £190m p/a in court fees. Some conclusions in the report are described as being "without any suporting evidence"!
Looks like the lawyers friend Chris Grayling has embarrased himself again.
