County court judgments (CCJs) increased seven per cent in the first half of 2015, year on year, according to the Registry Trust. Figures from the Registry Trust, the non-profit organisation that collects judgment information in the British Isles and Ireland, show that 369,989 CCJs were registered between January and June. This was an increase of 23,000 from the first half of 2014 and the third year-on-year increase in a row. The most recent half-year high, affected by the financial crisis, was back in 2007. The average value of a CCJ in the first half of the year fell by six per cent to £2,164. It has fallen each year since 2008. The total value of CCJs increased by £2.7m to £801m.....Read more here
