A female motorist has spoken of her terror as victim of an alarming new 'cash for crash' scam in which criminals who stage fake accidents demand money on the spot from their victims to avoid the hassle of going via their insurers. Vulnerable motorists - including lone women drivers and elderly motorists - are being targetted. Many scammed motorists simply pay up immediately to avoid losing their no-claims bonus – which can sometimes double the cost of cover. Others are just bullied into doing so.....Read more here
