A four-year legal fight for redundancy payments, brought by former Woolworths and Ethel Austin staff, is rejected.
Thousands of former Woolworths and Ethel Austin workers have lost their fight for redundancy compensation after a European court ruling. The European Court of Justice (ECJ) backed a Government appeal and agreed that stores with fewer than 20 employees are excluded from an obligation to consult over redundancies and do not qualify for compensation....Read more here
