Phone recycling firm Cash4phones, which was investigated last month by The Mail on Sunday, has filed for insolvency. The customers who did not receive promised money for their old handsets should contact Capital Books for any chance of compensation. The insolvency firm is expected to be named tomorrow as the official liquidator. Cash4phones’ website has closed down and though it is unlikely that customers will get the full value promised for their phones, 750 handsets remain, which may be sold to raise funds.In December, we highlighted the plight of supermarket manager Rachel Armitage, 34, from Barnsley, South Yorkshire.
